Mrs Rebecca Lawson

Parent Governor

Rebecca has strong links to the Ventnor community going back over 15 years. Rebecca brings a unique perspective to her role as parent governor having worked in various areas of education her whole adult life. She has worked as a tutor, reading assistant, writer for a family magazine, home educator and now works as a content writer and editor for Twinki Learning Resources.

Amongst other skills, Rebecca brings experience of project management, stakeholder management, awareness of various teaching and learning styles and an understanding of children’s mental health and wellbeing.

My goals

Learning opportunities can be found everywhere if we know how to recognise them, the best education has three elements - an 'education triangle'. It combines the skills of the teachers, parents' understanding of their children, and the goals of the pupils themselves. An equal combination of these three elements ensures education is productive, inclusive and fun. Strengthening the 'education triangle' will be my priority.
