The day started with pupils, staff and parents taking their entries over to Rew Valley ready for judging by the Chale Show judges. Whilst the judges meticulously went through each class, the whole school gathered on the field for Speech Day. Progress Awards and Overall Progress Awards were handed out for each subject, as well as Head of Year Awards, Vox Populi, Nulli Secundus and the Headmaster’s Award. After all awards were handed out, it was time for lunch on the field, with some wonderful musical entertainment provided by our very own pupils, as Speech Day progressed into the Summer Show. There were also fun stalls created by our pupils to raise money for charity, and the total raised looks to be nearly £200!

Once the judges had completed their huge task, all the show points were added up and the doors were opened for everyone to view all the entries. We had such a range of entries this year and it was really lovely to see the huge efforts put in by all entrants.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the day, particularly those who put so much effort in to the wonderful array of entries we received. Also, our gratitude goes to the Chale Show judges who came and did a fantastic job, as always. We must also recognise all those behind the scenes who work so hard to ensure these events run so smoothly. This really is a fantastic day – the perfect way to end our academic year.
