GCSE Results

Another fantastic set of GCSE results for TIFS

Huge congratulations to the TIFS 2021 cohort. They are rightly celebrating a fantastic set of exam results with 75% of pupils passing both Maths and English. In the same measure almost a quarter of the student body achieved a grade 7 in both these core subjects.

Of particular note this year are the outstanding Maths, English, Media studies and Art results. In Maths a stunning 82% of pupils achieved a pass – this is significantly higher than the national pass rate – whilst 79% of pupils passed English. In Media studies 82% of pupils achieved a pass (GCSE 4+) with 68% of these achieving a strong pass (GCSE 5+). In Art an incredible 100% of pupils achieved a pass (GCSE 4+) for the second year in a row, with 95% of these achieving a strong pass (GCSE 5+). We are incredibly proud to report that these are amongst the strongest results ever achieved at TIFS. Full details of our core results are available on our website. Full results of all subjects will be available once they have been ratified later in the term.

At the heart of these impressive results is the incredible work ethic, steadfast resilience and unrelenting positivity of parents, staff and, of course, the pupils themselves.

Congratulations everyone.

Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, to data from previous years.
However the school has published below the information in relation to results from The Island Free School. A link to school and college performance measures website can be found by clicking on the text in bold.

The staff and governors of the Island Free School are pleased to share our GCSE results. Please click the image above to view this performance data.
