Miss Alice Sheen

Senior Leader for Pupil Personal Development & Wellbeing & Head of Year 11

Miss Sheen was educated on the Isle of Wight, achieving 10 GCSEs at grade A*- C, followed by 3 A Levels in Biology, Physical Education and Psychology whilst attending Richard Taunton’s Sixth Form College in Southampton. She then studied for a Physical Education and Sports Coaching Degree at the University of Chichester (BA Hons) gaining a 2:1, before completing a PGCE in Secondary PE through the University of Portsmouth.

Experience

Miss Sheen was previously a member of the British Colleges National Netball Team. Whilst at university, she competed for the University of Chichester Netball 1st Team in the BUCS South East Region Division 1. Miss Sheen has also competed in the South Region Division 1 and 3 whilst currently playing in the Hampshire Netball League Division 1. Her other passion is horse riding, where she has competed nationally at various championships with her own mountain and moorland ponies since 2000.

My Goals

I am an extremely enthusiastic practitioner aiming to create an ethos of enjoyment, inspiration and participation in pupils for both curricular and extra-curricular PE.

As Head of Year, I will invest fully in facilitating an educational environment where pupils are nurtured to be high achieving and able to reach their full potential.
