Mr Andrew Teague

Head of Science

Mr Teague read for an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science at the University of the West of England and continued his studies with a Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology at the University of Portsmouth before returning to the Isle of Wight to train as a Chemistry teacher.

Experience

Mr Teague has taught in several schools and has been recognised as a talented and dedicated Science teacher. He has led on the delivery of STEM activities in schools and he has run two successful groups, one designing their own environmentally friendly Island school and another where the pupils had to design and build a model hovercraft.

He was active member of the Isle of Wight swim team for over 10 years, competing in three Island Games competitions. He carried on swimming at university where he became the vice president of the swim team. The highlight of his sporting career was winning a bronze medal in the 2011 Island Games hosted on the Isle of Wight.

My Goals

To promote a love of science and learning, inspiring a new generation of scientists – as well as supporting pupils in whatever endeavours they choose to pursue.
