On Wednesday, the Year 9 Geology pupils enjoyed a visit from Lisa Kerley who is working with a series of museums on the Isle of Wight to develop relationships and ongoing engagement with schools and young people across the Isle of Wight. 

Lisa brought in several samples from Dinosaur Isle, including a magnificent Iguanodon pelvic bone, some mammalian coprolite and a superb ammonite with a mineralised internal structure. 

We looked at how fossils were formed, and how we can make moulds of fossils for educational processes. Pupils were consulted as to their views on how they would like to engage with Dinosaur Isle, and were more than happy with their gift of a rubber and free pencil!
