At the weekend, 71 Year 9 and Year 10 pupils took part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions, with our Bronze participants completing their final expedition and our Silver participants undertaking their practice expedition.
Our Silver group camped at Compton Farm on Friday night before joining the Bronze groups at Carisbrooke Castle on Saturday. Over the weekend, pupils navigated their planned routes, cooked on Trangias, camped overnight and successfully completed the expedition section of their awards.
Despite the challenging hot weather, every pupil showed fantastic teamwork, resilience and determination. They should all be incredibly proud of their achievements.
Well done to everyone involved; we look forward to our Silver participants completing their final expedition at the start of the new academic year.
