On Friday 3rd March, pupils in Year 11 had the opportunity to visit Liz Earle’s fulfilment centre in Cowes to learn about the roles within this global beauty brand available right here on the island.
Pupils learnt about the journey from order to dispatch, and how the team work together with an ethos of high quality, a personal touch, with the Isle of Wight at their heart.
The group listened to different employees talk about their current role, where their career journey started and the qualifications and experience they had to get to where they are now. Pupils were interested in the range of apprenticeships and training schemes on offer as a Liz Earle employee wishing to progress in their career. They also learnt about sustainability in manufacturing, such as recycling unsold kits to put money back into the business, and how their brown paper waste becomes bedding for horses!
Thank you to the team at Liz Earle, Cowes, for another insightful afternoon for Year 11.
