On September 22nd, our PE GCSE pupils were visited by Team GB athlete Kimberley Murray, who is training for the Skeleton event in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Kimberley spoke to the pupils about how she got into this exciting sport, as she described her journey from growing up on the Isle of Wight to hurtling down ice slides at 70mph! Kimberley is going to help support pupils through their GCSE programme with examples from her own life as an elite athlete in relation to our GCSE PE topics.
This was a great experience and a real eye-opener for everyone.
Many thanks again to Kimberley Murray!
