To finish this term’s hockey fixtures a number of Year 7 girls travelled to Portsmouth to
play a couple of friendly training matches with the Year 7 girls from PGS.

Despite the loss of a couple of players on the day, the girls still managed to play two
matches, winning one and losing the other. It was a great experience for all involved and
reflected the fantastic depth of talent for girls hockey in year 7.

Special mention to Jessica L. and Freya H. who were awarded player of the match by the
opposition players.

“Well done to all involved, we look forward to continuing with more fixtures in the
New year. We will also be encouraging the players to widen their hockey experience by coming to club sessions hosted by the Isle of Wight Hockey club” – Mr Milton
