On Tuesday 17th March, TIFS proudly took two girls teams and one boys team to compete in the South Central State Schools 7-a-side hockey festival, hosted by Reading Hockey Club and officiated by South Central umpires.

Our U14 boys team delivered a strong performance in the group stages, finishing third and qualified for the Cup Competition. They went on to secure an impressive 4th place overall, playing some of their best hockey of the season and showing real growth and confidence on the pitch.

The U14 girls team also progressed to the Cup Competition. Despite their best efforts, they faced tough opposition and finished 6th. The team displayed outstanding effort, ambition and a clear desire to improve with every game. Their resilience and teamwork were evident throughout the tournament.

The U13 girls team had an excellent day, finishing top of the plate group. They played with great energy and commitment, working tirelessly for one another and demonstrated outstandingly strong team spirit from start to finish.

Following these encouraging performances, all teams now look ahead to the National State Schools Festival in Nottingham, which will be held at Highfields Hockey Centre. We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their hockey journey at the national level.
