Tuesday 6th December saw the TIFS Winter Concert and Art Exhibition take place, featuring over 100 of our musicians, artists, and creative writers. The evening began with a stylish bagpipe and snare drum performance by brothers Kit and Freddie H. Taking place at the entrance to the school, their playing ensured a memorable welcome for everyone. Before going into the concert, the audience were treated to an impressive display of Art by Year 11 pupils. The high standard of work showed true dedication, and credit must also go to Ms Travers and her creative team.

The Winter Concert opened with Year 7 and 8 Music scholars and ambassadors playing ‘Team Time’ and ‘Norwegian Sleigh Ride’. With only 3 months’ experience on their new instruments, the Year 7s can be very proud of what they’ve achieved so far. The concert featured 8 ensembles in total and a wonderful variety of solos and duets. Original pupil compositions and arrangements from Ellen C, George B, and George S were other highlights, together with wintery poems from creative writers Harry J, Amelia C, Isla Y, and Cerys B. Huge thanks to Mr Balch, the music department, and all the staff who helped on the night and well done to everyone who took part. It was lovely to see such talent on display and a wonderful start to the festive season.

We are delighted that we also raised over £100 for charity which will go to the Oxfam – East Africa Crisis.
