On Friday 26th June Kirsty and Ella flew the flag for The Island Free School, competing in the annual inter schools show jumping competition at Little Kennerley Farm, Godshill. Competitors from high schools across the island showed what a great level of riding talent we have here on the island.

Competition was tough at the top, with less than four seconds separating the top 9 riders. Ella and Claughaun Peter produced two great clear rounds finishing eighth individually, whilst a cheeky start from Kyra and Kirsty produced some skilful and determined riding to complete both rounds.

Miss Allman said ‘These girls spend so much time training on evenings and weekends, not to mention the amount of time spent caring for their ponies, it’s a pleasure to have them representing the school in equestrian competition. Well done and thank you to the girls and their significant entourages’ for making it a great day!”
