Ms Travers was educated in Buckinghamshire where she obtained A levels in Art, Theatre Studies and Communication Studies.

She went on to get a degree in Visual Studies before completing a Masters in Art and Design and then a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Art and Design.

Experience

Ms Travers is a highly qualified secondary school teacher with experience of teaching in both the UK and Canada. In recent years her career has focused on the design elements of the creative process, teaching Media Studies up to GCSE and A level.

Throughout her career, Ms Travers has highlighted her dedication to extra curricular activities organising fashion shows, art and photography exhibitions and running school newspapers which are wholly produced by the student body. She is a passionate gardener and is keen to share her love of this with pupils.

My Goals

I fully support the educational vision of The Island Free School and am confident that this is the right school for my own children.

I am keen to share both my subject specialism and my wider interests with pupils at the school.
