Last week a group of KS3 and KS4 pupils took part in the Isle of Wight Secondary Schools Cross Country Relay Championships at Medina College. Each year group took part in the relay event in teams of 4, with each pupil having to run a 1km section. As the afternoon went on the course became even more wet and slippy. Despite a few falls from team TIFS, everyone continued to run as best they could. David E flew round the course coming in first for his leg of the year 8 boys race. Outstanding effort from Seb F, who took over with half a lap between him and the runner in front of him, finishing only a few meters behind.

Regardless of the extremely wet and muddy conditions, all pupils performed exceptionally well and did their utmost to put out their best performances. The year 7 girls managed to secure a 3rd place triumph, even though the finish line soon began to resemble a mudslide!

Miss Sheen, Miss Evans and Miss Gerty were all extremely proud of their individual efforts and were great representatives of our school.
