On Thursday Year 7 and 8 TIFS pupils took part in the IOW schools’ Cross-Country championships. It was a beautiful sunny day, despite being chilly, which was ideal for Cross-Country running.
37 intrepid TIFS pupils set off to CTK to participate in the championships. All athletes had to run a 3-lap course which was around 2400m, conditions were firm and had no hills which was a relief to many of the runners.
It proved to be an afternoon of fantastic performances for the TIFS pupils whom participated, all pupils displayed collective support for one another and displayed wonderful sportsmanship.
We are extremely proud of all of the runners and how they conducted themselves on the day and wish those selected to represent the Isle of Wight at the Hampshire Schools Cross-Country the best of luck!
