On 22nd May we held our fifth RE Drop Down Day with a focus on Islam. The children undertook a range of activities based on the five pillars of Islam. The five pillars are faith, prayer, giving zakat (support of the needy), fasting during the month of Ramadan, and the pilgrimage to Makkah once in a lifetime for those who are able.

Pupils also learnt about Islamic weddings, looked at Islamic artefacts art and architecture.
We ended the day with an assembly where each class shared what they had learnt. Overall we experienced a very enjoyable and informative day.
