On Wednesday, as part of our Cultural Capital and Self Development Days, some of our GCSE Dance pupils visited Bournemouth University. The aim of the visit was to give pupils the opportunity to get a feel for what Dance is like as a subject at degree level.
The group got to spend the day with students who have had offers to attend the university. During the visit they took part in a flash mob and were taken on an interactive dance tour of the university, watching performances in each area.
Our pupils really enjoyed the experience and were a credit to the school. Ava said: “it was so imaginative the way they danced and presented the university” other pupil comments included: “thoroughly enjoyable and I would really recommend it to anyone”, “it has opened our eyes up to life at university”.
Thank you to Bournemouth University for partnering with us to provide this important experience for our Dance GCSE pupils.
