Bonnie Challenge 2020

Wednesday 9th September saw the return of The Island Free School’s annual Bonnie Challenge over St. Boniface Down. Year 8 rose to the occasion, having waited in anticipation for the event to take place, having missed out on the chance to take part in July. We had beautiful, sunny conditions for the challenge and everyone did themselves proud with some new names on the leaderboard!
Rafi W of Rubeum is now at the top of the leaderboard with a very impressive time of 3:26. This is closely followed by Jack M of Viridis at 3:29 and Lewis G of Rubeum at 3:32.
The girls have also entered the leaderboard with some incredible times; Erin C of Flavi completed the challenge in 3:54, and Ruby H of Caesitas and Hannah DO of Rosea both coming in at 4:04.
Despite not being able to have the rest of the school lining the route to cheer the runners on this year, the afternoon was a tremendous success and Year 8 should be very proud of themselves.
