Congratulations to Alfie G for some amazing musical achievements recently. Alfie passed his Grade 8 saxophone exam with a distinction, which gives him 30 UCAS points towards his future university entry. This is a remarkable result and it follows his previous successes at Grade 4, 5, 6 and 7, where he was also awarded distinctions.

Alfie was also the only player to be awarded an ‘outstanding’ in the woodwind classes at the IW Music, Dance and Drama festival last month. His commitment to the musical community at TIFS (Jazz group, Free Sound and the scholar/ambassador group) has also been outstanding throughout his time here.
