Following the last whole year group exam on Friday 14th June, we said goodbye to our 2019 cohort.
The year group assembled in the main hall, played in by the jazz band. First, Head of Year Mrs Boyd, spoke to the pupils, congratulating them on their resilience throughout (and after) lockdown. She reminded them of their many talents, experiences and achievements from the last five years, as well as giving them some advice to take into the future.
The year group were then addressed by Mr Boyd for the final time. He passed on his wisdom on success and failure before a video was played full of photos and videos from the cohort’s time at our school.
Following this it was the traditional farewell and the 2019 cohort made their way around the school on their lap of honour, accompanied by their mentors, cheered on by the younger year groups.
Whilst we are sad to see our pupils leave us, we are full of positivity for what they can achieve as they venture out into the next chapter of their lives. 2019 cohort you have been fantastic, we wish you all every success and happiness for the future.
