On Wednesday, the Year 7 Netball Team took part in the Year 7 Secondary Schools Netball Tournament at Cowes Enterprise College. Having only played 1 competitive fixture previously, it was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to put into practice the progress they have made.

With very short matches in the round robin tournament, the girls coped exceptionally well with adapting to the range of teams they were against. The highlights have to be seeing how well the girls worked together, the encouragement they gave each other and the improved skills they were able to implement.

Miss Sheen said “I am extremely proud of how the team represented our school and how well they worked together. They have grown in confidence and range of skills over the autumn term; this tournament was a wonderful opportunity for them to apply this progress”.
