On Thursday 16th June, the Year 10 Latin classes visited Brading Roman villa. They participated in several activities including; a therapeutic mosaic making session, a tour of the villa, and a chance to explore the surrounding grounds. Everyone found this trip enductional and helpful as it linked to pupils’ current studies on Roman living conditions. It also gave further insight into what life for the Romans would have truly been like and some of the mosaics that have been meticulously preserved and what they possibly symbolised.

Pupils learnt a great deal of new information from their tour guide, Mr Brown, who was very knowledgeable on the Romans – he was able to answer many questions on who the Romans were, where they went and why they went there. It was clear he was very passionate about the topics he spoke about with the group.

All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day at Brading Roman Villa and learned a lot.
