Wednesday 3rd April saw TIFS hold their first in house Drama Festival. A selection of pupils performed duologues which they had been working on during enrichment, as well as a group from across all year groups performing the opening extract of the play ‘It Snows’.

The afternoon was adjudicated by Chris Rickards who has many years experience of teaching and examining drama. She told the pupils they were, ‘pioneers,’ of this event and complimented them on their enthusiasm. She was impressed by the range of work and provided all pupils with certificates and feedback.

Congratulations to Silas B and Kaitlyn S who were awarded gold for their duologue, followed by Kaitlyn S and Amy P with silver and Eva W and Ella B with bronze.

This was a pilot event and following the success the Drama Department are looking forward to growing this over the coming years for it to become another The Island Free School Tradition.
