This week the members of the Safeguarding team, Mr Peace and Mrs Curtis, along with Mr Berryman with his IT expertise, spoke to all pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 about how they should keep themselves safe online. Pupils were told of the dangers that they could face online, the consequences of unsafe online behaviours, and how and where to report anything they have experienced that has made them feel uncomfortable.

On Tuesday evening parents of pupils in Years 7 and 8 came to listen to an online safety presentation, and were able to share issues they have experienced in keeping their children safe online and how they have resolved them.

For those parents who were unable to attend, Mr Peace will send a fact sheet out, covering ways to work with your children to keep them safe online, where to go for more information, and how to report any incidences of online abuse.
