On Wednesday 12th October, Year 11 were visited by representatives from the NHS, who delivered a presentation on their exciting new training scheme available to school leavers who are interested in a career in healthcare.

Pupils learnt about the different routes into working for the NHS, and the vast range of roles available in healthcare, from clinical to administrative and many more in between! Pupils all took part in a quiz to find out which roles within the NHS would suit them, and how they could get these jobs through training or education.

Year 11 also had informal discussions with the medical team, and even tested some equipment (which some of our teachers enjoyed too!)

We are delighted that some of our past pupils have gone on to follow this route for their post-16 training, and if any of our current Year 11 pupils are interested in this option for their post-16 pathway, they can apply or speak to the school careers team for further information.
