Ms Freeman began her career at the age of 16 working for Barclays Bank after growing up in Northamptonshire. She later commuted to London to work as an Office Administrator for a banking software company based on The Strand. After having her two sons, she returned to work in Northamptonshire where she worked for eleven years as Company Secretary for a stationery manufacturing company.

In 2006, Ms Freeman moved to the Isle of Wight where she went on to own and successfully run two small businesses for almost twenty years, gaining extensive experience in business management, finance and administration. In 2025 she began a new chapter in life and is now looking forward to joining the Finance team at The Island Free School.

Outside of school, Ms Freeman enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves adventuring with her grandchildren both on and off the Island. She also enjoys sewing, baking, and gardening (often followed by a well-earned spa day!) and loves visiting London whenever she can.
