Mrs Abigail Gale

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

Miss Nobes grew up in Hampshire where she spent much of her childhood happily chatting away! She achieved a 1st class honours BA (Hons) in Applied Languages, (Spanish and French) at the University of Portsmouth, so that she could continue to chat to everyone – but this time in three languages!

In her spare time Miss Nobes enjoys travelling, sewing, cross stitch and creative writing and hopes to share this experience, in addition with her knowledge of languages and other cultures with her pupils.

Education
  • 1st class honours BA (Hons) in Applied Languages, (Spanish and French) at the University of Portsmouth
  • M1 Transferts Culturels et Traduction (French, Spanish and English)
  • PGCE completed through Portsmouth University

Experience

Miss Nobes worked in Spain as a Translator for a Language School in Ronda. She also studied as an exchange student at the Université de Tours, in France.

After graduating, Miss Nobes returned to France to work as an English as a Foreign Languages Lecturer at the Université de Limoges, where she developed a keen interest in teaching.
She is passionate about language learning and providing the best educational outcomes possible for all pupils.

My Goals

My goal is to inspire and motivate my pupils to enjoy learning another language – I strongly believe that everyone can learn a language and that it is important to have a go.
I would also like to improve my sewing skills and start learning Swedish.
