Last Friday we took two teams of budding Year 10 mathematicians to the “Maths Feast” hosted by Sandown Bay Academy. The event is run by The Further Mathematics Support Programme, who encourage young people to study Maths and Further Maths at A-Level and beyond. Pupils were given a variety of non-calculator problems which tested their mathematical ability and reasoning. There were 9 teams in total, and our A-Team did particularly well in coming 2nd overall, beaten only by Ryde School’s A-Team, which is an incredible achievement!
