On Saturday 8th October our Year 8 Boys’ Rugby and under 13 Girls’ Hockey Teams had the amazing opportunity to travel to Lord Wandsworth College and take part in their Hockey and Rugby Sports Festival, held in beautiful surroundings and with glorious weather.
This sporting festival was a pre-dawn start but a fabulous way for TIFS to play against various schools from across Hampshire in a friendly environment with lots of match play.
Year 8 Boys’ Rugby:
There were some magnificent displays of rugby on show, with the team scoring an impressive 17 try’s and only conceding 4.
The year 8 player of the festival goes to Reuben C-R, who had an incredible day both for his amazing defense and for tackling when on attack – proving to be a constant menace to the opposition with his important tackles.
A memorable moment from the match is from Arthur W, who was able to maneuver his way around five defenders from the opposing team to score straight after the game started.

Under 13 Girls’ Hockey:
We are extremely proud of the under 13 Girls’ Hockey team who displayed their amazing skills by playing exceptional matches.
Both teams played some noteworthy hockey, with the A team remaining unbeaten in their 6 matches and the B team only losing one of their six matches.
A big thank you must go to Miss Sheen who umpired and managed the B team.
An incredible day for both sports with great success, well done to all players!
