Today, Wednesday 23rd February, Year 10 attended a Careers and Apprenticeships Fair hosted by Island Futures, at the IW College. Pupils had the opportunity to speak to a variety of training providers and employers, who spoke about the range of apprenticeship levels available, and progression routes.
Several island sixth forms were also in attendance, to speak to pupils about A Levels and BTECs at their establishment.
Representatives from the Southern Universities Network (SUN) were on hand to discuss university options and things young people should think about if they are considering applying to university post-18.
It was a useful and informative afternoon for the cohort, and a valuable introduction to a wide range of pathways. We hope that pupils use this opportunity to initiate research and conversations around their career choices.
