Over the last couple of weeks, pupils from years 7 and 8 visited Brading Roman Villa. As part of their Latin classes they have been learning about Roman villas as part of their historical background work.

Pupils received a tour of the villa and then undertook an evidence finding activity, where they learnt lots about life at the villa and the people that lived there, in order to extend their learning and put it into a real life context.

After a relaxing lunch in the Roman style gardens, pupils and staff finished the day by making mosaic coasters, which were later grouted in lessons. Pupils asked some brilliant questions and their behaviour was commended by staff at the villa as well as members of the public.
