Our wholehearted thanks to author, journalist and public speaker Chris Hemmings for spending the last two days working with boys in years 9 and 10 on perceptions of masculinity.
Chris began each day by delivering an honest appraisal of his own mistakes in younger life whilst also challenging both our boys and girls to consider the wider implications of the stereotypical behaviours of men. Chris then went on to work with smaller groups of boys in promoting healthier ideas on what it means to be a man in the 21st century.
We are immensely proud of the open and mature way our pupils engaged with the sessions and we look forward to welcoming Chris back to TIFS in the future to continue the work we have begun together.
