Activities Week 2017: TIFS Tour Vienna

Year 9 Activities Week

With wonderful weather, twelve Year 9 pupils spent their Activities Week on a Music and Art tour in the stunning city of Vienna. They visited an array of museums, tourist attractions and musical concerts. Pupils witnessed ‘The Kiss’ and other great works from Klimt and his contemporaries, and also had the opportunity to visit Mozart’s house and see where he lived during the most successful period of his composing life. They visited the Danube river, took a ride on the oldest Ferris Wheel in the world in Prater Park and enjoyed Sachertorte and Apfelstrudl ice cream! Alongside visiting museums and sights of interest, the group experienced a philharmonic summer night concert at Schőnbrunn Palace and also had an outdoor opera viewing of Beethoven’s ‘Fiedlio’. This trip was truly a first of its kind for TIFS, and was highly successful and enjoyable.
