On Monday, 6 Year 8 pupils were given the opportunity to represent The Island Free School at the opening day of Wimbledon. As Tennis Ambassadors for the school, these pupils took great pride and much pleasure in participating in this fantastic experience.

Watching from Court 1, pupils were able to see Venus Williams battle Donna Vekic in a 2 set defeat, despite a valiant effort from Vekic against the former World No. 1. Sam Groth stunned all with his impressive serve, currently holding the record at 163mph, and delivering a respectable 142mph on the day!
