Ms Samantha Fancourt

Teacher of Mathematics

Ms Fancourt Attended Carisbrooke High School where she completed her GCSE’s and A Levels. She then went on to Bournmouth and Poole Art College where she studied Industrial Design. After this Ms Fancourt worked at Lewis and Lewis Pottery in Newport, then Neutrik in Ryde, completing imports and exports and looking at improving components for musical companies. This involved visiting Sound and Light shows in London, liaising with companies, and designing bespoke equipment for their needs.
Not one to sit on her laurels, Ms Fancourt completed a BSc (hons) Open degree in various mathematics topics – from Discovering Mathematics, Thinking Concepts and Developing Algebraic Thinking, and Using Mathematics. She also worked at the IW County Press office alongside completing this study – all whilst raising her family.
In her spare time Ms Fancourt enjoys running – having completed 4 marathons and a Ultra Marathon. She runs for Ryde Harriers, competing in the Cross Country Hants League for many years, and attends Park Runs regularly at weekends.

My Goals

It is my goal to support pupils to achieve their best in Maths and to make maths accessible to all abilities so that every pupil can enjoy the subject, and gain a good understanding of all topics.
