Year 10 Kingswood Residential

Year 10 spent the weekend at Kingswood on a 2-night, 3-day residential. Our pupils were treated to a variety of activities including: aeroball, fire lighting, shelter building, ziplining, leap of faith, problem solving, nightline and orienteering. The TIFS/Kingswood Staff vs. TIFS pupils’ dodgeball match was definitely something to remember!

The group also reflected on the trip with a campfire and toasted marshmallows which of course, included a group rendition of Mr Brightside. On Saturday night, Year 10 had a disco which was completed by a Staff dance routine – learnt 30 minutes before. Spice Girls will never be the same for those that were there!

The pupils were impeccably behaved and we are so proud of them for getting stuck in at every hurdle – whether it be deep mud or high ziplines. Kingswood Staff commented on how they handled each activity with a persevering attitude and with a lot of laughter.

A special thank you goes out to the staff who gave up their weekend and were just as enthusiastic – Mrs Boyd, Miss Rudd, Mr Hooper, Mr Teague, Miss Fraser, Miss White, Mrs Martin, Mr Newnham, Miss Portch, Mr Green, Miss Allman, and Miss Peace.

It was a fantastic weekend full of memories made, which we hope our year 10’s will remember for years to come.
