Having convincingly won the Isle of Wight Schools competition on the last day of last term,

the Under 13 girls travelled to The University of the West of England to play in the South

West Regional Finals.

The standard of cricket at such an event is always going to be very high, mainly because all of

the teams are already County winners. The South West is a vast area including Cornwall,

Somerset and Wales!

The team played three matches in which they participated with great enthusiasm, skill and

used the experience as a learning curve for the rest of the summer term’s upcoming outdoor

cricket fixtures.
