On Armistice Day, the school community gathered together for a Remembrance Service in Holy Trinity Church to pay tribute to the fallen. The service was lead by Reverend Hugh Wright, and included performances from pupils. Hallam S played a clarinet solo, the choir sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Thankful’ by C. Bayer Sager, and children from Year 7 read the poems ‘The Soldier’ and ‘In Flanders Field’. Ted H played the ‘Last Post’ whilst Mr Bob Hobbs, the grandfather of one of our pupils who was representing HMS Phoebe, performed a parade of the Ships Standard flag and Flag Salute. The children were a credit to the school – very well done to all involved.
