On Thursday 8th November, a number of TIFS pupils were invited to A Field of Remembrance service, in the Princess Beatrice Gardens within the walls of Carisbrooke Castle. This was to mark the hundredth anniversary of the 1918 Armistice Weekend. Students from years 7, 8, 9, and 10 laid crosses and poppies for the armed forces. There was a 2 minute silence, a talk from the Bishop of Portsmouth and a bagpipe performance. It was a sobering morning, but a lovely way to remember this important event.
