Following a successful home performance on Thursday 23rd March, the cast and crew of Innocent Creatures travelled to Chichester Festival Theatre on Saturday 1st April to close the week long National Theatre Connections Festival.

The group participated in an engaging workshop and had a Q & A with National Theatre mentor director, Nel Crouch. Our technician Taylor was also treated to a backstage tour of the Festival Theatre to see their lighting equipment and workshop. The group were then given several hours in the Minerva Theatre to have a technical rehearsal supported by the fantastic staff who quickly got Taylor working on their lighting desk. When the time came to perform, our cast rose to the challenge and acted with such incredible confidence and poise; they received a wonderful response from the audience. Also the Stage Manager and NT Director both commented on our pupils’ professionalism throughout the day, as well as the quality of their performance.

We could not be more proud of our incredible cast and crew for all of their hard work and we are very grateful for the wonderful opportunities that the National Theatre has provided throughout this experience.
