Thirty children from The Island Free School took their music instrument exams this week. We are proud to announce a 100% success rate with sixteen children achieving a distinction.
Many pupils had only been playing their instruments for nine months, so to achieve their Grade One exam was phenomenal. Special mention to those that achieved higher grades; Shanti Mayne (Grade 4 trumpet), Lydia Bryant (Grade 4 trumpet), Rowan Bevan (Grade 3 trombone), Jessica Mudge (Grade 3 flute), Ella Painter (Grade 3 drums), Cameron Tarry (Grade 2 saxophone), Oliver Glanville (Grade 2 saxophone), Charlie Walford (Grade 2 saxophone) and Joseph Marsh (Grade 2 saxophone).
Many thanks to our dedicated team of peripatetic staff for working so hard to achieve this result.
