Ending up looking like mud monsters didn’t dampen our year 8’s spirit as they played some great games against priory on Tuesday. Outstanding performances from all the boys, taking losses in the first three matches, by small margins, as they learnt to deal with the big threats. Some great ball play from Felix B and monster tackles from Joseph F kept TIFS in check. With Oliver K leading from the front and Alfie O making ground with his silky footwork.

TIFS unleashed their secret weapon in the third game in the form of Archie B, breaking tackles and stepping left right and centre to score multiple times. Rory B also used his strength and vision to score. One win and one tied game followed.

Other notable performances were Filip A, Max L and Kai M tackling everything in front of them, Connor P for good hands and linking plays, Caden M for his speed in attack, Miles FA with some great defence. Pietro L bossed the breakdowns and Shaun C and Faris S were great at tracking and getting stuck in.

Priory will come back to TIFS this Tuesday for the return fixture.
