Mrs Naomi White

Learning Support Assistant

Mrs White was born and educated in Bristol, gaining GCSE’s and a love of English literature at College. At eighteen she joined the Royal Air Force as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic, moving between various Air Force bases in the UK and overseas.
Travel has featured prominently throughout Mrs White’s life and career and she has experience observing many wildlife species in their natural habitats around the World. Mrs White is the Isle of Wight Area Co-ordinator for the charity British Divers Marine Life Rescue and in her spare time she helps to train volunteer Marine Mammal Medics and attends live stranding rescues of whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and turtles around our coastline.

Education
After her service in the RAF Mrs White went on to study at The University of the West of England, Hartpury College, Gloucestershire. She achieved a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and became involved in wildlife rehabilitation.

Experience

Mrs White has worked with animal charities, wildlife parks, equine facilities and veterinary practices. A highlight in her career was working with students at The Isle of Wight College as a Lecturer in Animal Management and as Learning Support in Land (Animal Care) Horticulture, English and Motor Mechanics.

My Goals

Mrs White’s goal is to combine her passion for wildlife conservation and education and aid future generations to protect our environment.
