On 9th November pupils from the Mental Health Ambassadors enrichment raised money for Movember charities. The ambassadors made a range of cakes and sold them during the two morning break sessions. They raised well over £100, which is a credit to their hard work and dedication to this worthy cause.
Pupils had the opportunity to learn of the importance in spreading awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
The Movember charity itself is the leading charity for changing the face of men’s health; as a school we are proud to have helped support them and raise awareness of the charity and its goals.
As Movember is mostly known for men around the world growing a moustache, our pupils cheated a little and made some paper ones for you to enjoy.
Thank you to all who donated and bought cakes!
