The theme for the Mardi Gras in Ryde this year was Biosphere Island. It is a collaboration with Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) who are leading the bid for the Island to become the third UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve in England by 2020.
Our entry was part of the historic environment representing Fort Victoria and our learning partner The Archaeology Discovery Centre.
Miss McGovern led the enrichment to make Mardi Gras costumes, which represented the arches and brickwork at the fort. Thanks also to Miss Peters, Mrs Walker, Mrs Breach and Ms Burnley for all of their help and support
