Medina Marching Band were invited to attend the highly prestigious event – London Band Week 2023, which took place last week.

They represented the Isle of Wight at London Excel Centre on the Saturday evening, alongside other Marching bands and were joined on stage by The Royal Marines.

The band then travelled to Hampton Court where the ‘Corps of Drums’ took part in a drum Battle consisting of 3 rounds and they were successful in bringing home the King’s Shield – they were up against 4 other extremely talented and well established bands, including The University of Tennessee Pride of Southland who travelled all the way from America.

Many of our pupils attended the weekend and were an absolute credit to the band and to the school.
