This Wednesday TIFS Under 13 Girls cricket team travelled to Bristol to compete in the South-West Regional Lady Taverners U13 Finals.

The 8 schools were split into two groups,TIFS were drawn against the County winners from Devon,Wiltshire and Wales.

TIFS had the best of starts with a comprehensive victory over Clarendon Academy(Wilts) by 93 runs to 67. In their second game it was a much closer contest and eventually they lost to South Dartmoor School who scored 113 to TIFS 87. With a 3rd/4th play off up for grabs the Girls then took on Glantaf School from Wales and ran out worthy winners playing their best cricket of the day winning by 85 runs to 70.

After a quick break the team were back on to play Bournemouth School for Girls (Dorset) in the 3rd/4th Play-Off. In an exciting game which seemed to swing backwards and forwards in favour of both teams the TIFS Girls fell just 2 runs short and lost 80 runs to 78.
Overall it was a fantastic performance by all the team to finish 4th.
