On a beautiful sunny Monday afternoon TIFS took 30 intrepid runners to compete in the annual Year 7 and 8 Cross Country Championships held at CTK in Newport.

With the Year 7 pupils running 2 laps and the Year 8 3 laps, the going was tough – but not as muddy as previous years!
Every age group was vociferously supported by their peers as they took to the course and all runners finished their race.

A massive well done to all the pupils who competed and we look forward to receiving the final team results when we find out who will continue the journey to represent the Island at the Hampshire School Cross Country in March.
Special mention has to go to Seb Foster in Year 8 who finished in 1st place. Well Done Seb!
