On Thursday 18th January, Mrs Suter and Mr Price took 12 pupils identified as Gifted, Talented and Passionate in History or English to visit The Houses of Parliament. During the visit, pupils were given a guided tour of Parliament, including Westminster Hall, The House of Commons and The House of Lords. Pupils then took part in a Laws and Debating Workshop, learning about how laws are made in this country and how to get into politics.

Finally, pupils took part in a Q&A session with MP Bob Seely, discussing current issues such as the routes into Ventnor following the landslip, the cost of ferries and the possibility of an Art gallery coming to Ventnor.

The pupils were a credit to the school, demonstrating their enthusiasm in politics, current affairs and real issues facing young people on the Isle of Wight.
